Experimental Type
Personal Project | Photography | Editing
The project began with a brief to create a typeface using an object of my choice. While I’d love to say it was a carefully thought-out decision, the truth is I chose a book simply because, at the time, it was the only object that sparked enough inspiration to get started. It felt limiting to have just one item—but I decided to treat that limitation as a creative challenge and see how far I could push it.

I began by bending the book and photographing it from different angles, capturing shapes that subtly echoed the forms of the alphabet.

These images became the foundation of the typeface. I then experimented further, cutting, combining and tweaking parts from different letters, shifting and refining them until I achieved the forms and consistency I was aiming for.
