Duolingo

In collaboration with Mihaela Mare, we developed an advertising campaign in response to the D&AD 2021 brief, with the goal of encouraging daily engagement with the Duolingo app.

​

The campaign was shaped by the impact of the pandemic, which left many people, especially younger audiences longing for an escape from the monotony of home life while still wanting to feel productive.

​

Targeting 16–22-year-olds on their commutes during this period, we reimagined Duolingo’s signature characters breaking free from their usual environments.

 

This playful visual narrative invited users to do the same escape into the world of Duolingo and enjoy the benefits of learning in a fun, engaging way.
